Dr. Daniele Cardaropoli on: Management of Post-Extraction Sites

  • RBC Place 300 York Street London, ON, N6B 1P8 Canada (map)

Key Messages

After tooth extraction, bone resorption of varying amounts always occurs as the edentulous site of the alveolar process undergoes both qualitative and quantitative changes. This resorption may lead to aesthetic and functional disadvantages that can compromise future implant placement.

Dr. Cardaropoli will help the attendees navigate the hard questions of what to do before you extract the tooth and the possibilities of treatment afterwards, everything from immediate placement with immediate provisionalization to delayed placement and what to put into the socket. This is an especially relevant topic facing dentists today, presented by a world leader in regeneration right here in London.

Learning Objectives:

  • Ridge Preservation is able to compensate for major marginal bone remodeling following tooth extraction
