The hardness can be adjusted to accommodate the patient's needs and comfort level. The splints can be made in regular, soft and extra-soft to increase patient comfort and compliance. These splints have also been utilized in post-orthodontic treatment as an alternative to a traditional finishing appliance. All appliances made with Impak PF are Bisphenol A and Pthalate free. Material Safety Data Sheets are available upon request.

The Impak PF splint offers:

  • Protection against bruxing and clenching

  • Comfort fit Improved patient compliance

  • Greater treatment success

  • Fewer chair side adjustments and repairs than a traditional Thermaflex

  • Reduction or elimination of fractured restorations

Our Impak PF splints are available in clear or a variety of colours and combinations including glow-in-the-dark. The splints have a six month warranty from the date of manufacture. We can also place decals and stickers in our nightguards to further encourage patient compliance. The splints require a three-day turnaround time and can be prescribed for either the maxillary or mandibular arch. We offer free pickup and delivery or we pay your courier fees both ways if you are out of our delivery area.

Impak PF Splints

The Impak PF material can be used in several applications besides the traditional nightguard. We are also utilizing this material in: Deprogrammers, NTIs, Gelbs, Daytime/Nightime Orthotics and Essix retainers with blocks.

Patient Care

  • All splints made from Impak material should be run under warm water for a minimum of 30 seconds before insertion. This will ensure proper fit and superior retention.

  • Avoid the use of commercial cleaners, as they will shorten the life of the applicance. We recommend brushing the appliance with non-abrasive, over-the-counter toothpaste to clean splints.

  • Do not let the patient "bite" the splint into place; instead finger pressure should be used to place the splint.

  • Splints should be kept in the provided case when not in use to prevent loss or damage.

Splint Manufacturing Requirements

To ensure proper fit and comfort for your patient we require both upper and lower models and a wax bite to manufacture splints.
