Position: PrepTechnician (Level 1)

Department: Laboratory – Prep

  1. Full-time – Trial Period Agreement for (9) months, inclusive of a (6) month probation, with the possibility of extension to permanent

Summary of Job: A qualified individual is required to complete all preparatory work and simple tasks related to prep in various departments of Ortho, Removables and Crown & Bridge including but not limited to, articulating, pours, trims, set bites, polishes, pumices, duplicating models, investing, packing simple trimming, casts, sandblasts, double pours, cut out dies, cast metal into investment rings and/or complete study models . Assist with other job functions. Other duties include; training of other employees, maintaining stock, cleaning workspace and equipment. Must have the ability to work additional/overtime hours.

Summary of Equipment: Work requires use of various grinders, motors, lathes and instruments

Summary of Qualifications: Preference will be given to those who hold related education or experience. Basic understanding of dental anatomy is preferred, strong manual dexterity skills required, specifically with use of plaster, waxes and acrylic resins. Experience in investing and packing of impak splints and completing study models preferred. Specific knowledge of products and materials preferred; understanding of systems preferred; ability to work with lathes, grinders, motors, heaters, sandblasters and simple carving instruments preferred; computer skills; excellent listening skills; demonstrated ability to work under pressure; ability to work independently and in a team environment; good problem solving and creativity skills; ability to work overtime; strong attention to detail; and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. A basic understanding of related dental materials and techniques is a necessary asset. Standing is required for many of the operations. Minimum O.S.S.D. Preference will be given to those who hold related education or experience.

This is a full-time position, between the hours of 6:00AM –11:00PM. Hours may range between 8 – 10hrs per day with an hourly wage between $13.60– $16.00 per hour.

 Position: Customer Relations Representative (Level 1A)

Department: Customer Relations

Full-Time Contract Position, inclusive of (6) month probation (Possibility to lead to Permanent)

 (Competition # 0511--E)

 This is a full-time position with the possibility to permanent after the probationary period and initial contract expiration.

The hours of work are between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

 The hourly wage between $13.60–16.00 per hour.

 Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Drive car on scheduled routes to deliver and pick up products and/or customer relations items within specific time frames.
  • Conduct data entry using OEWIN software.
  • Clean and sterilize products and pans and carry out procedures for optimal health & safety.
  • Deliver company products and company literature.
  • Train on all company products, services and pricing and field questions while delivering.
  • Build client and customer relations and represent company.
  • Answer the phone (switchboard), parking calls, taking messages, transferring calls to staff, fielding questions and providing customer service via phone.
  • Administration as required.
  • Cleaning, maintaining vehicle/equipment and conduct/report safety checks as required.
  • Train other employees.
  • Maintain stock.
  • Attend seminars, workshops, webinars, and/or other continuing education programs
  • Must have the ability to do additional/overtime hours after 5:00 p.m.

 The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Minimum O.S.S.D or equivalent. Preference will be given to those who hold education or experience in dental field.
  • A basic understandingof related dental materials is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills, listening and communication skills in order to perform optimal customer service standards on phone or in person.
  • Ability to work under pressure; work independently and in a team environment; strong attention todetail; and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to drive car. Required to possess a valid G driver’s license, proof of insurance and clean driver’s abstract.
  • Ability to be flexible with strong team player skills as cars and routes may be changed in order to sustain operations, facilitate training and provide coverage when necessary.
  • Ability and willingness to cross-train on several routes; maintain focus and concentration on all route locations and pertinent information.
  • Previous data entry skills preferred. Computer skills preferred. Willingness to train on computer required.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases with detailed information and accurately input and output product information.
  • Preferred experience in switchboard and light office duties. Willingness to train on phone.
  • Strong time management skills and good problem solving skills in order to meet company drop off/pick up schedules, pack and prepare work and prevent delays.
  • Planning skills in order to conduct regular maintenance checks of vehicles on a regular scheduled basis to ensure safe and clean car.
  • Ability to pack and unpack products from bins and boxes, fold and tape boxes and manipulate various other packaging materials with dexterity.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work additional hours and overtime hours, specifically during peak periods to sustain operations.
